These Easy to Make Clothespin Magnets Sell Well at Craft Shows!

Clothespin Magnets

Hello there! Thank you for stopping by. The last post I wrote highlighted some of my favorite clothespin crafts that I found on Pinterest. I cannot express enough how much I love Pinterest. It is such a great place to search for new ideas and to see what other crafty people are up to! Anyhoo, in that post I also mentioned that I was working on several clothespin crafts and that I would post pictures when I was able. Well, today is your lucky day!

From what I have heard from other “craft people” these magnets sell really well at craft shows (I hope so…guess I will find out this winter!). I plan on selling single clothespins, as well as, packs of four. As for pricing, I’m not sure yet….still need to figure that out.

I painted the clothespins winter blue and then reassembled them.

These magnets were so easy to make and dare I say…adorable! I used clothespins that were already painted when purchased, however, I also painted some of them myself. At first I was worried that it would be difficult to put the pins back together after they were painted, however, I found THIS “how to” video and it was a breeze. I will say that I had to do some painting touch-ups after the pins were reassembled. For some of the pin magnets, I attached miniature wooden shapes that I painted myself…while others I embellished with flowers and crystals. By the way, AC Moore has a “discount bin” full of different types of embellishments. The embellishments that I purchased were 10 for $1 (can’t beat that!). I also decorated some of the clothespins with washi tape. I love that stuff!

Below are several pictures of the clothespin magnets that I have been working on. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Have you ever made something out of clothespins? If so, leave a comment! I’d love to know what you have been working on. Well, that’s it for today. As always, HAPPY CRAFTING!
