This Snowman Mason Jar is the Perfect Homemade Gift!

Snowman Mason Jar Craft ProjectHi everyone! I only have a few minutes…so this post is going to be short but sweet! I don’t know about you, but I love to give homemade Christmas/holiday gifts to my friends and family members. In my opinion, a homemade gift is truly special (from the heart). This year I decided to make snowman mason jar candy holders. I made and sold several of these last year and people really seemed to love them (I believe I sold all of them except one). Mason jar crafts have increased in popularity over the past couple of years. You can buy mason jars at craft stores, online or even the grocery store.

For this particular project you will need a mason jar, a snowman and a wooden jar topper. You will also need a few craft basics such as ribbon, paint and glue. If you don’t feel like painting a snowman…you can use an ornament or anything else that will easily glue to the topper. I used an unfinished wooden snowman because I was in the mood to paint! If you wish, you can also glue embellishments to the sides of the jar topper (if you want to get fancy!). As you can see in the pictures, I painted small wooden snowflakes. Note: If for some reason you don’t want to use a wooden jar topper (or just want to keep things really simple) you can glue the snowman (or whatever item you choose) directly to the jar lid. Simply paint or decoupage the lid first. Check out these Easter treat jars that I made and you will see what I mean.
I am really happy with the way my snowman mason jars turned out. I love the fact that you can use whatever items you want to decorate the jar…the possibilities are endless!  Have you ever used mason jars when crafting? If so, please share in the comment section! I love hearing what others are doing…plus, it’s a great way to get new ideas. Well, that’s all for now! As always, HAPPY CRAFTING! easy to make snowman mason jar candy holderssnowman mason jar craft Snowman mason jar with topper and snowman figure
